If you found your way to this blog, that means you love all things food and wine just as much as I do, so we have a lot to talk about. Okay, I’ll start.
I fell in love with California wine and the relaxed, laid back (pick your favorite soothing word) California lifestyle when I moved to the Golden State in 2000 – wow, time flies!
Over the years, my taste in wine has gotten pretty specific. Most of the wineries I support are family-owned and use low intervention winemaking practices (better for the wine, better for your palate, better for the planet!), and they steer clear of using chemicals in the vineyards.
I’m also a huge fan of trying unique grape varieties. Grapes like Gamay, Trousseau, and Vermentino don’t just taste great, they are often a better value than your average Pinot Noir or Chardonnay. I love lighter-bodied, easy-drinking wines that are so good, even your friends who claim they don’t like wine, will say, “wow, I really like this wine!”.

How did I get into wine?
Everyone has a different path to discovering wine, and mine came from my time working in the hospitality industry, where I managed Event Sales and Marketing for two Michelin star restaurant groups. My favorite part of the job was helping guests discover new wines, new foods, and, in the process, create an experience that they would remember for a lifetime.

Yep! I’m a full-time food and wine copywriter. I help other food and wine lovers, wineries, and restaurants with website copy, newsletters, marketing emails, content strategy, and social media. My other specialty is assisting wine and food bloggers write content that connects with their audiences. Never in my wildest dreams did I think I could be a full-time food and wine writer; I absolutely love what I do!
